TIMELINE | When Will Severe Storms Move Into The Piedmont Triad?

Ahead of the storms Friday, the Storm Prediction Center has placed the Triad under an "Moderate" threat of severe weather & the Foothills are under a "Enhanced" Risk. The Moderate Risk is a level 4 out of 5, that means we are expecting several severe storms to develop.

TIMING

The storms may arrive in our western counties like Wilkes & Alleghany, as early as 10 or 11am, before exiting our eastern counties by 8 or 9pm. 

Here's a look at the earliest possible start to the threat of severe weather across the regions in our area.
