Police Officer Helps Man With Tie Before Job Interview: Photo

A local resident captured a heartwarming moment between a Chapel Hill police officer helping a man prepare for his job interview earlier this week.

The photo shows the officer helping the man fix his tie. The Chapel Hill Police Department said the man flagged down the officer and asked him for help as he was on his way to a job interview at a local Denny's restaurant.

"This Chapel Hill resident flagged down Officer Bellavance today. He said he had an interview at Denny's and asked for help with his tie," the department shared in the post. "We’re so glad he asked for help. Our fingers are crossed for a positive result! #GuardiansOfTheHill"

The post has since gotten 589 reactions and 149 shares as of Wednesday morning.

Several residents responded by showing their support for the man during his job search and the officer for helping.

"Wonderful!! Good job to the young man seeking his new job and making it a priority to look and do his best! Sounds like he should get the position," one Facebook user wrote.
