RaeLynn revealed the release date — and a sneak peek — of her upcoming anthem on Monday morning (April 28).
The country singer-songwriter will debut “Heaven is a Honky Tonk” on May 9, marking the beginning of a new era in her music. RaeLynn wrote the song with Lauren Hungate and Caroline Watkins. She produced it with Aaron Gillespie. The former The Voice contestant — who launched her career on the show in 2012, competing on Blake Shelton’s team — described her upcoming single as “bold, it’s country, and it’s 100% me.” RaeLynn added in a statement that she’s “more inspired and grateful than ever” as she looks ahead to her next chapter.
RaeLynn previously teased her new era with a hair transformation and sneak peeks of unreleased music. Next month, she’s hitting the road on Jason Aldean’s headlining “Full Throttle Tour,” which also includes Nate Smith and Dee Jay Silver. The tour kicks off on Friday, May 23 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and continues with stops in New York, Colorado, Tennessee, Texas, Georgia and more. The last show is set for Saturday, October 4 in West Palm Beach, Florida. See the list of tour stops here.
