The Philadelphia Eagles and head coach Nick Sirianni have "agreed on a multi-year extension," the team announced on Monday (May 19).
"As an organization, we have always strived to create a championship culture of sustained success," said Philadelphia Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie on the team's official website. "Nothing is more important to fostering such an environment than having tremendous leadership. Nick has embodied everything we were looking for in a head coach since we hired him four years ago. His authentic style of leadership, football intelligence, passion for the game, and growth mindset have helped to bring out the best in our team. I am excited for what the future holds for the Philadelphia Eagles."
Sirianni, 43, is just months removed from leading the Eagles to their second Super Bowl victory in franchise history, as well as their second Super Bowl appearance in the last three years. Philadelphia has gone 48-20 and made the playoffs during all four seasons of his tenure.
Sirianni entered his fourth season on the hot seat after the then-defending NFC champion Eagles finished the 2023 regular season with five losses in their final six games, which was followed by a blowout playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Wild Card Round. Philadelphia bounced back in 2024 with the second-best record in the NFC and held home-field advantage in their three playoff games leading up to its Super Bowl LIX blowout win against the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans.
