ERNEST played a pop-up performance on Tuesday evening (October 14) at one of the historic honky tonks on Lower Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Grammy-nominated country singer-songwriter performed at The Stage, kicking off his set by tipping his hat to country legend Hank Williams Jr. ERNEST covered ā€œFamily Tradition,ā€ which Williams Jr. released in the late 1970s, and went on to perform some of the biggest hits he co-wrote for other artists. That includes Jelly Roll’s Whitsitt Chapel single, ā€œSon of a Sinner,ā€ and ā€œI Had Some Help,ā€ which Post Malone released with Morgan Wallen and included on his highly-anticipated country record.

ERNEST, who recently released ā€œBro Countryā€ with HARDY, is known for his hits from albums Flower Shops and Nashville, Tennessee, titled as a nod to his hometown. Earlier this year, ERNEST debuted Cadillac Sessions, teaming up with Miranda Lambert,Ā Snoop Dogg,Ā Jake Worthington, Chandler Walters,Ā Cody LohdenĀ andĀ Rhys Rutherford.

ā€œWe didn’t hold anything back. There is a timeless Americana feel and the old-Nashville mentality of ā€˜write your songs’ – and those guys wrote their songs,ā€ ERNEST said in a statement of the first-ever DeVille Records project. ā€œThey all love classic country the same way I do, and we’re also with the times of the modern era – we ride those waves really well, too. I’m just happy to shed a little light on what they’re able to do.ā€
