Lunchbox thinks his wife has lost her mind over their kids’ shoes.
Their middle child is a size 10 but she accidentally bought size 12 so they didn’t fit, and they were going to return them. Two months later, Lunchbox saw in the closet that they still had the shoes. He asked why they still had them, and she explained that eventually he would grow into them. Lunchbox thought it was stupid to keep them because they won’t be able to use them for over a year. He’d rather return them now, get the money back, and then buy them when he needs them. When his son goes to the store, he picks out the shoes he likes and maybe in a year he might not like the ones they currently have anymore.
Everyone thought it made sense she kept them because he’ll eventually grow into them and wear them. It works the same way with a baby shower, people gift clothes in different sizes so they don’t have to shop later and have stuff ready to go. His wife does not have a problem making returns, so she’s purposely keeping these shoes because she knows they’ll eventually need them!
